Angled Washer/Dryer
A laundry machine (washer/dryer/both) that features a door mounted on a 7th side at an approximately 45 degree angle, halfway between being a top-loader and a front-loader.
Who
This design would be useful to individual who are short and/or disabled, being too short to comfortably reach into a top-loading machine, but have difficulty squatting/leaning/kneeling to access a front-loading machine.
What
Put the door to the washer/dryer at an approximately 45 degree angle, so it is comfortable to access by people who are physically disabled or vertically challenged.
How
This design would reduce back and leg strain in individuals who struggle with arthritis in the legs or have back injuries. Along with more convenient access, this would improve tumbling by allowing gravity to do the shifting of clothes.
Competitors
I have yet to see any company explore this option or anything similar to it.
