The Kitchen Hub got its start as a winning hackathon entry that sought to solve the recipe-plus-messy-hands problem. The team wondered: How could an appliance easily integrate digital recipes into the kitchen? The answer was a motion-controlled smart multimedia range hood, which became the Kitchen Hub. Kitchen Hub graduated to the GE Profile brand, where it continued to evolve. The product won the CES Editors Choice Award in 2020.
