Velmor
A towel steaming appliance for under the bathroom counter.
Who
Traditionally those that shave their face will take a shower or just splash warm water on their face to open their pores and soften hair. However, this would allow a more direct approach and help bring the spa experience to the comfort of their home. It also a common precursor to self care / skin routines. While other on-the-counter products exist, something built into the counter such that it is hidden would be more elegantly implemented. Additionally, these devices suffer from bacterial growth due to the internal environment so a self cleaning mode would be helpful. The device would be able to connect to wifi so towels could be warmed by the time one is home after a stressful day at work.
What
Creating a chamber that can be set to certain conditions (i.e. temperature and humidity) through a mobile app. Placing either a pre-dampened towel or a dry one that would sit in the chamber until it was ready. Utilizing faster heating methods (convection, microwave, etc.) would also help standout in the market. The chamber would utilize have anti-bacterial features (anti-bacterial materials or UV sanitization). I believe it would be best suited for maybe the Cafe or Monogram lines as it could be presented as a high class product with bathroom cabinet integration.
How
Help make these products more visually appealing. They are useful, hence their presence in most every spa, but their presentation in the home is often bulky and discontinuous with their internal décor.
