Cordless small kitchen appliances

I think it would be an awesome thing to have small appliances like hand mixers, small blenders, electric knives and more small appliances to run on 12 volt batteries like cordless shop tools run on. Rechargeable batteries and you could buy a charger and batteries and they could be inserted in numerous small kitchen appliances. The convenience of it would be spectacular.
