Inventing What’s Next

Innovation doesn’t need to happen behind curtains. Big ideas don’t need to come from the top. Work shouldn’t be boring.

These were the paradigms that inspired the creation of FirstBuild, one of the most successful innovation experiences in the corporate world. Under the sponsorship of GE Appliances, a Haier Company, a group of intrapreneurs decided to break the corporate mold and create an innovation hub staffed with “free spirit” employees committed to creating a community of inventors and makers.

FirstBuild’s on-site microfactory and open makerspace, online community and unique go-to-market approaches lead to innovative products that people love.
