Preparing for a New Puppy – 2021 Guide

Going through a low time and planning to bring in a four-legged companion?

Before you even plan to do so, there are so many things that you need to prepare to bring in your esa puppy. An ESA Letter is not the only thing that you should be worrying about. In fact, you need to look over your routine, your surroundings, to ensure that the entire environment and condition is feasible for the new member.

If you do not consider all these things, in the future things will become a total mess for you and stressful for your puppy.

In this article, you will find a few steps, following them will help you to bring in your esa puppy very easily. But before moving towards it, we would like to remind to about the esa letter. When you are applying for this letter, try to look at a sample of an esa letter online. This would help you understand it better.

The rest of the steps are as follows:

  • Preparing the Children

If you have children in the house, and you are planning to bring in an esa pup, the first thing you should do is to prepare them regarding the new member of the house.

For this purpose, have each member of your family come in and see your esa puppy before taking it home. This way your child will get excited about it and will get along with it easily. Also, teach them some basic rules and etiquette regarding the new puppy.

  • Make Space for your Puppy

A proper area to relax is a basic need of your esa. This is why before you bring in your new pup, you should make a reasonable space for it in your house.

When you bring it home, show different areas of your home to it, including the decided potty spot. Doing all of this is very important because when you apply for an esa letter for housing, it means that you can keep your esa safely and comfortably at home. If you fail to do so, you might have to face some serious consequences.

  • Get Supplies

Get all the necessary supplies before bringing your emotional support puppy home. These supplies might include some good puppy food, some puppy snacks, candies, a collar, and anything else you think is necessary.

Remember that the first two weeks are very important after you bring in your esa. During these days you get to know its behavior, likes and dislikes, routine, and eating habits. This is why try to have enough supplies to provide consistent activities and routines for your new companion.

  • Take All Safety Measures

Puppies have an adventurous nature, and they are constantly up to something every day. When you have an active and playful emotional support puppy around you, you need to be a bit more careful. You might need to block some passages for the puppy’s protection.

Some of those areas might be the staircases, the kitchen, or your toilet. Dog gates are easily available and you can get a few as per your need. Apart from this, you need to ensure that there is no open wiring around your house or no wild and poisonous plants.

All these safety precautions are necessary because if your esa gets hurt due to your negligence, your emotional support animal letter might get canceled.

  • Plan for Travel

Bringing an esa con not just helps you stay distracted from all the negative energy but in fact, it can change your entire mood and personality. Being an esa owner, you get to enjoy a lot of perks. You can easily travel around with your esa. But before you hit the road, you need to make sure that you are well-prepared.

Make sure that you got your hands on the following things:

  • Crate or carrier
  • Blanket or bed
  • Collar and leash
  • Water dish
  • Puppy food

All these steps and tips will let you have a happy time with your emotional support animal. Once you have all these preparations, all you need to do is to get an authentic emotional support dog letter, and VOILA!
