What is Co-Create?
Co-Create from FirstBuild is a global community where enthusiasts, designers and engineers can share ideas and work together to design and create new products. You can access it on the desktop, or through our iOS and Android apps:
How does it work?
Step 1: Idea
An idea is the seed – create your profile and post your idea with a title, short description and an image. Co-create community members can “like” it to express their interest, or comment. If you are lucky enough, your idea might become the next Co-create project!
Step 2: Project
Ready to turn an idea into reality? Open a new project and start building your team. Post updates and let them see your progress.
Step 3: Product
Select projects that reach a high level of completeness might be picked up by FirstBuild to become the next official FirstBuild product. Have more questions? Read more about how FirstBuild works.
In December 2016, we relaunched the new version of Co-Create with these new features:
- App for iOS and Android
- It’s now way easier to upload content
- Level up your skills with questions (app only)
Don’t worry – all previous Co-create projects and ideas are still there.
The first step in co-creating is having an idea. Browse the ideas that might become the next smash co-creation product! Follow an idea, like it to show your support or submit your own. Here are a few hot ideas right now:
Charcuterie, cheese, meat aging cabinet
A cabinet that can control temp (just down – refrigerator) can control moisture up or down!
Opposite of a Warming Tray. This would keep cream and custard dessert buffet foods chilled. Also to keep buffet salads and veggies fresh.
Take the spark of an idea and turn it into reality! Co-Create allows you to pull together a team (or go solo) and easily keep the community up-to-date on your project.
Create your own, or check out a few projects in active development right now:
A small speaker module which speaks the selections on a washer or dryer during cycle selection.
Wine Chiller Inventory Manager
Wine consumer need a cellar that has the capability to identify the bottle of wine based on its label and manage their cellar inventory, including location of storage.
