2. Meeting Jimmy DiResta

FirstBuild will host our annual Hackathon on Saturday, September 15-16. Special celebrity guest judge Jimmy DiResta will be on site judging Hackathon entries as teams compete to create the most innovative solutions in home appliances. DiResta is the Shop Master on the NBC TV show, “Making It” hosted by Nick Offerman and Amy Poehler.

3. $10,000 in Cash and Prizes

Teams who bring their A-game to the Hackathon can win big! Entrants will form teams to hack on home appliance projects, and each submission will be judged on desirability, feasibility and viability. We have cash awards as well as maker-themed prizes for our winning teams. A special thanks to all our sponsors, including  Gold Sponsors 3M, RenesasSamtec, and US Steel.
