This week, we attended the Exponential Manufacturing Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. The event was hosted by Singularity University and highlighted experts in the manufacturing industry. Additive manufacturing, IoT, robotics, and more were on full display as companies and representatives discussed their approach to manufacturing and what they anticipated the future of manufacturing to look like.
The structure of the conference centered around keynote speeches and several breakout sessions that allowed conference goers to sit in on, and get more details about, the things that they were particularly interested in. GE Appliances’ CTO Kevin Nolan spoke at the event and even hosted one of the breakout sessions in which he described FirstBuild’s unique model as well as its approach to manufacturing.
Also at the conference was an area known as the “Innovation Lab”. The lab hosted several companies that wished to showcase their own approach to the manufacturing world, while doing things differently than many of the big players in the field of manufacturing.
The FirstBuild table was in the Innovation Lab and we discussed our unique bottom up approach to product development and manufacturing. Many of the attendees seemed fascinated by the model and even took to social media to give their take.
